B100 – 100% biodiesel
B100 is biodiesel containing no petroleum. B100 usually is blended with petroleum diesel at varying levels such as B5 (5 percent biodiesel, 95 percent petroleum diesel) and B20 (20 percent biodiesel, 80 percent petroleum diesel).
Soybean Oil—Refined
Oil extracted from soybeans can be used in the production of biodiesel or sold as a food-grade product.
Soybean Meal—Ground
When soybeans are crushed to extract oil for biodiesel, 80% of the bean remains as a protein source used in animal feeds.
Hulls—Ground
Soybean hulls are used for livestock feed.
Glycerol
Glycerol, a byproduct of the biodiesel production process, can be used in thousands of products ranging from antifreeze and adhesives to pharmaceuticals and other food-grade items.
